Magalie Olivier
President
My name is Magalie Loretta Olivier. Proud Mother of two. A daughter Krystie Loretta Bellabe and Kristian-Benoit Jacques. I was born in Haiti a beautiful Island in the Caribbean. In ’79 I attended the University of Sorbornne in France “The Study of The French Language”. I have been in the U.S. since my teenage years. With my immense love for children I decided to become a teacher. I attended Emmanuel and Lesly College completing my BA and Masters in Education. I have been teaching for the city of Somerville, MA for 28 years. Now I am retired and using this time to volunteer. Still following my passion, I am working with OLPH to provide a better education for the children of FLEURHA in Savanne-du-Bois, Jacmel Haiti. Beyond education, I believe that children are all the light and the future. Many around the world are given the opportunity to shine their light. My dream is to be able to provide these same opportunities to the children of Haiti beginning with the children of Savanne-du-Bois so that they too may let their light shine. I hope to continue helping children for as long as God allows me to.

Edocy Aldeus
Treasurer
My name is Edocy Aldeus; I'm married and mother of 2 children.
Growing up, I was fortunate to have met people that helped shape my life into who I am today. I want to pay it forward by returning the favor by helping these beautiful children of LOE.

Carine Douarin
Secretary
My name is Carine, and I grew up in Haiti. I was taught that Education is the key to all doors in this world. My grandmother always said, “Do not give me a fish, instead show me how to catch one”. At a very young age I have always had a profound caring of how others were being treated by society. I am always saddened by children that lack love, understanding, and basic needs through no fault of their own. Light of Education foundation is my opportunity to make a change. It is the soil for my mustard seed, it embodies the yearning desire I have within my soul to contribute and to change someone’s life. I feel that God handed me this Olive branch to help these kids. They are the leaders of tomorrow. I truly believe LOE will have a positive impact on our future generation.
